Indiana firm launches industrial monitoring technology at Atlanta conference
NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Executives at industrial and large commercial companies who want to reduce utility charges or improve product quality by tracking temperature, humidity or process conditions could benefit from the latest version of software from a Purdue Research Park-based firm.
EnterScape™, which currently serves customers on five continents, launched UtilityRecon 2.0 at the 2012 World Energy Engineering Congress in Atlanta. It is the latest version of the company’s industrial monitoring software platform.
Mark Raisor, vice president of business development, said UtilityRecon 2.0 has several new features including active load-shedding controls.
“These controls allow users to monitor total energy consumption and trigger a load-shedding event to reduce peak demand and charges,” he said. “It also has a fully customized interactive facility layout view that includes links to plant photos, dashboards, equipment manuals and IP cameras.”
Other features include a completely Web-based platform that allows for improved accessibility, a tool that tracks energy upgrade projects or continuous improvement initiatives for ISO 50001 certification, and the ability to create as many analytical reports and dashboards as needed for continuous monitoring.
Raisor said the response from the World Energy Engineering Congress was positive.
“Our customers are using our software extensively every day to manage operations and reduce energy consumption,” he said. “Our goal is to provide our clients with the most value possible from their data.
When they ask for a new tool, we create it for them.”
